Gauri Mishra is 13+ Years old girl; currently she is studying in 8th class at Amity International School, Sector 46 Gurgaon. Gauri Mishra has received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya BAL Puraskar-2020 from our Honrable President Shri Ram Nath Kovind in Art and Culture category (as a Youngest Piano Player of India ). Gauri plays four genres of music i.e. Indian Classical, Western, Bollywood and Fusion on Piano which rare and unique. In 2017, she received a beautiful appreciation letter and blessings from our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for her new experiment with Indian classical music.
She has been learning Piano since the age of 4 and has broken records by being the Youngest Piano Player at the age of 9, giving a solo performance in front of a huge audience and being judged by the Officials of India Book of Records. She is only girl who has got certificate and judged by Children Book of Record as a “Youngest Indian Classical Pianist”. International Association of Educators for World Peace (Affiliation-UNESCO, UNICEF and ECOSOC) and many other world records have also certified her as the Youngest Pianist. She is pursuing her music certification from Trinity collage of London and Prayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad, India.
Gauri has always believed in doing various innovations and experiments with her music. In her recent concert (20 Dec 2019), she took the audience through a splendid journey from our very own ‘Indian Classical Music’ to the essence of ‘Bollywood Music’ through the admirable ‘Western Music’ to her own ‘Innovative Fusions’.
She has performed multiple auditorium and places and received many awards in her name. She had also performed with International musicians and musical associations in India i.e. Korean Cultural Center Performed with Famous French Jazz Pianist Mr. Benjamin Barria and many Ambassadors from all around the world as a cultural exchange.
She wants children to get influenced by music, culture, sports and other co-curricular activities rather than substandard activities.
Her dedication towards music and various social causes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao has been well recognised by print and electronic media. Her ambition is to represent herself at a national arena and then represent her country at an international arena.
Gauri wishes to inspire the young boys and girls of our country. In our country, where in some parts birth of a girl child is still considered as a curse, Gauri wants all parents to look at their girls with proud. She has been motivating people for the same through her poems. She feels that even if few parents change by her words and give equal opportunities to their daughters, she will consider it success. Her motto in life is “Together we can”. She is very passionate about her country and gave many performances to salute the Indian military services. Her ambition is to represent herself on national arena and then represent her country at international arena.
